A History of Academic Excellence

Avance is new. But our teachers have a track record of helping students achieve their best selves—academically, socially, emotionally, and professionally.

Avance is Chicanos Por La Causa’s (CPLC) new Community High School. CPLC was founded in 1969 out of the Chicano and farmworker rights movements. In 1995, we identified a need in Arizona for a smaller school experience and created our school district, CPLC Community Schools.

Our small teacher-to-student class sizes allow our teachers to provide individualized attention. And thanks to our holistic care model, more than 90% of on-track students at our CPLC Community Schools graduate!
