LUCES - Latinos Unidos Contra el Sida
CPLC LUCES provides HIV prevention education and supportive services to people living with or at risk of HIV/AIDS to improve health outcomes, reduce health disparities, and address barriers to treatment.
Free HIV and STI Testing and Counseling
Free, confidential HIV rapid finger stick testing is offered Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm at CPLC Maryvale Community Service Center and other locations in the community. Vouchers for free testing at a local Sonora Quest, Albertsons, or Safeway location are also available for individuals with transportation barriers.
Free testing for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Syphilis testing is also available at the CPLC Maryvale Community Service Center, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.

Medical & Supportive Case Management
Providing or coordinating access to primary medical care, dental care, medication adherence, nutrition, home health care, legal services, transportation services, mental health care, substance abuse services, psychosocial support services, housing, emergency financial assistance, and food boxes.
Mental Health & Psychosocial Support Services
Individual or group behavioral health interventions include Healthy Relationships, CLEAR, and Sin Buscar Excusas. Mental health and substance abuse counseling services including Spanish-language support groups Mujeres Poderosas, Manos de Esperanza, and/or individual counseling sessions are available online or in-person.
Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) Initiatives
"Fuerza Positiva University” is a Spanish and English, 12 session curriculum tailored towards Latinx newly diagnosed individuals that are seeking to take control of their HIV diagnoses through education and empowerment. Online and in-person sessions are available.
Psychosocial Support Groups
“Fortaleza” and “New Perspectives” peer support groups help individuals living with HIV find peer support from other HIV positive individuals and education from a behavioral health tech on a weekly basis in Spanish and English. Online and in person support groups available.
PrEP and PEP Navigation
We help HIV negative individuals prevent HIV transmission through a variety of support services in English and Spanish. For Prep Navigation services, please contact (602) 527-2455.
HIV 340B Pharmacy Program
Pre-packaged mail order pharmacy program for HIV positive and high-risk HIV negative individuals on medication for HIV, PrEP, and other medical diagnoses.
HOPWA
The HOPWA (Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS) Program provides emergency shelter, short-to-midterm housing, and assistance with identifying permanent housing opportunities for qualified individuals living with AIDS and their family members in Las Vegas.
