Refugee Programs

Welcome home. Let us help you take the next step.

Fleeing your homeland, learning a new language, and adapting to a different culture is difficult. You have overcome so much. And yet, you have the power to do so much more.

We at CPLC Workforce want to ease your transition and help you reach financial and social stability. Our refugee-centered programs help you access housing, education, employment, and more.

Whether you came alone or with your family, whether you have just arrived or been here a few years, we are here to help you succeed.

Refugee Re-Empowerment Program (RRP)

If you are a newly arrived immigrant or refugee family living in Maricopa County, we can help you attain economic and social self-sufficiency through transitional housing, education, and employment services.

When you reach out to us, a Case Manager completes an assessment and creates a service plan for each family member. Support services include:

We help you create pathways to financial stability through education and employment. Our staff will connect you to training programs that cover topics such as work readiness, financial literacy, and health and hygiene. We can also help you enroll in industry-recognized certification programs in STEM fields such as the high-tech manufacturing industry, computer science, and medical fields.

Refugee Youth Mentoring Programs

These programs help refugee youth ages 16-25 receive mentorship and case management services to reach their academic goals. We pair refugees with mentors, many of whom come from the same country or region, to provide one-on-one support.

Our goal is not simply to place you in a job, but to help you enter a career pathway that leads to long-term self-sufficiency. We will also help you gain life skills to support your well-being.

We can help you find a job, enroll in High School or GED equivalent, enroll in ESL classes, and access college assistance. Programming includes vocational training, educational assistance (books, school supplies), and transportation assistance (gas cards and bus cards).

Our staff will connect you with the best fit based on your circumstances:

Afghan Refugee Programs

If you are an Afghan refugee, we want to help you on your journey to obtain an education, a career, safe and affordable housing. We can also help you integrate into your new home through our Afghan refugee programs.

One of our goals is to promote positive civic and social engagement and support your educational and vocational advancement. Through these programs, we help you:

We can also help you achieve economic stability through professional or skilled employment. We do this by helping you learn about available career options and crafting your personal pathway to employment.

Through our services, you can receive training and technical assistance, specialized English language training, and mentoring. In addition, we can help you access financial assistance for costs related to the establishment or re-establishment of credentials, such as obtaining educational credits or enrollment in required certification programs.

We partner with educational institutions, AZ state approved training providers, community partners, key stakeholders, and employers to facilitate your career opportunities.
