Saraí Martínez was an English Language Learner and struggled to read and write English in school. Her parents endured several health crisis, and she became the primary caregiver for her family—responsible for siblings while her parents were away during medical appointments. Her personal experience gave her so much understanding and perspective in the classroom. Today, she helps students with disabilities and English Language Learners excel in the classroom by finding their strengths and including them in the classroom.
