CPLC is a Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approved counseling agency with more than thirty years of experience. CPLC provides housing counseling services designed to help individuals and families acquire relevant information needed to make sound decisions, identify affordable housing options, and maintain stability.CPLC’s staff of experienced counselors is dedicated to meet the needs of their clients through three primary areas of focus:
- Assistance for clients experiencing a variety of housing issues including landlord-tenant conflicts, mortgage delinquency, pending foreclosure, and incidents of fraud.
- Provide information through Homebuyer Education classes concerning the opportunities and responsibilities inherent in pre and post home purchases.
- Housing Counselors provide financial assessment, development of an individualized financial action plan, and pre-purchase counseling to prepare families for homeownership. These counseling services act as a pre-requisite for a family to obtain a cost-effective mortgage loan, decrease the risk of foreclosure, and increase the ability to successfully purchase a home.
