Nutrition Coordinator Early Childhood Development #2013-610 REPOST
UPDATE Work Location
:  position can be in either the Central Region or the West Region depending on the residence of the candidate selected.
The Nutrition Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating implementing and monitoring the operation of the CPLC Early Childhood Development (ECD) Nutrition Content Area.  Ensures the Nutrition Content Area is in compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and Arizona laws and regulations.  Plans, develops, and implements training for staff, parents, and volunteers related to Nutrition in collaboration with Health Coordinator.  Minimum qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in nutrition education or other health related field and at least 2 years of experience working in a community health system that serves culturally diverse low-income children and families.  Training or course work in Early Childhood nutrition and children with special needs is a plus.  Experience working with comprehensive record keeping systems.  Must possess working knowledge of computer, word processing, spreadsheets and software (MS WORD, MS ACCESS, MS EXCEL, etc.).  Applicant must have working knowledge of Arizona’s EPSDT/Medicaid guidelines health care providers and community resources related to nutrition services.  Administrative ability in organization and coordination of nutrition services.   Knowledge of the USDA/Child and Adult Care Food Program requirements, administration and reporting system is required.  Must have dependable transportation and able to travel (in state/out of state).  Some night/weekend work is to be expected. Clinical Supervisor – Corazon  #2013-612

Family Service Worker – Early Childhood Development – Phoenix, #2013-613

The Family Service Worker is responsible for providing social service activities, such as family and community partnerships, community resource referrals, case management, family support during program transitions and other services, to children and families participating in a CPLC ECD program. Job Duties:  Work with center staff and the Family Service Coordinator to identify social service needs and assist families in obtaining needed services and provide information on community resources, including opportunities for continuing education and employment; Have knowledge and experience in adult learning principles; Monitor records, functions and procedures related to Family and Community Partnerships and case management as outlined in the Head Start Performance Standards;  Encourage and support the implementation of parent involvement activities; Work closely with other staff to assess program enrollment compliance and maintain the appropriate level of enrollment at the center; Identify children and families for recruitment into the program and facilitate the enrollment process for children; Establish a waiting list for program enrollment and update enrollment status information as needed; Participate in case management and follow case review procedures, including documentation and service record keeping; Conduct family home visits as scheduled in the Content Area Plan; Monitor and assure the completion of child screenings and exams with the assistance of the Health & Nutrition Coordinators;  Other duties as needed: Minimum Qualifications: An Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development (ECE) or Social Sciences and 2 years experience working in an early childhood education environment is required. Work schedule to be determined. The House Manager position is responsible for the daily operations of the facility as well as overseeing the safety and well being of the clients. The Youth Case Manager is responsible for facilitating child and family team meetings for assigned clients.  The Youth Case Manager works collaboratively with the Clinical Supervisor/Director to guide the treatment team in implementing the Child and Family Team Process and its individualized, strengths-based, culturally competent, family-centered approach.  Minimum requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health related field, or  a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of full-time behavioral health work experience; or has an associate’s degree and at least two years of full time behavioral health work experience; or has a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and 18 credit hours of post-high school education in a field related to behavioral health completed no more than four years before the date the individual begins providing behavioral health services and two years of full-time behavioral health work experience; or four years of full time behavioral health work experience. The Housing Counselor is responsible for providing comprehensive housing counseling services focusing on the areas of pre-purchase, foreclosure prevention and homeowner services. The Housing Counselor is required to have a strong technical background with emphasis on mortgage lending (both originating and servicing), credit repair counseling and real estate and foreclosure law. Other strategic abilities include active listening, analytical and organizational skills and steady boundaries. It is critical that the Housing Counselor be an artful negotiator. Flexibility and an optimistic, while realistic, attitude, is necessary to best manage a clients' expectations. Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC) is seeking one (1) talented and seasoned grant writer to join its Resource Development/grant development writing team.  While this individual may be based in Phoenix or Tucson, AZ, s/he will be part of the larger resource development efforts throughout Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. Provides leadership in the identification, solicitation, and cultivation of major funding entities to include local, state and federal agencies, corporations and foundations with a writing focus on state and federal health and health & human services; Reviews proposal projects and initiatives and develops appropriate funding strategies. Develops and prepares complex documents, to include grant applications, technical reports, and budgets; writes and edits proposals and communication materials. Youth Clinician, Centro De La Familia, Phoenix, AZ #2013-600

Under general supervision, provides direct and indirect, covered services and treatment to youth and child individual clients and their families, coordinates community supports and stakeholder referral need, using the Child and Family Team Process, as part of the behavioral health program of Centro De La Familia-Phoenix Outpatient Clinic. Responsible for managing appointment schedule, assigned caseload as a clinical liaison, conducting assessments, implementing treatment plans, facilitating out-of-office services, performing crisis services when needed, and participate in ongoing learning experiences and treatment team consultation and coordination. Minimum Qualifications: Must be Masters level or within one year of graduating with masters in behavioral health field; Licensed counselor or social worker preferred. Part-Time Family Support Specialist, Parenting Arizona, Winslow, AZ #2012-246
Responsible for direct delivery of social services to the children and families. Encourage and support the implementation of parent involvement activities. Provides advocacy and support services information to families about community resources and assists them in accessing appropriate services. Minimum Qualifications: BA Degree in Behavioral Health or BA degree in any field plus 1 year experience in Behavioral Health or High School diploma and 4 years work and/or education in Behavioral Health. Minimum 2 years experience working with children and parents; demonstrated ability to form supportive and nurturing relationships with multi-problem families. Successfully complete any training/ orientations required by agency and/or funding source.  Knowledge of community resources and ability to refer families to appropriate services, including those offered by PA. Temporary Floater Teachers, Yuma Center #2012-430
Responsible for providing high quality developmentally appropriate care and education for children age 0-5 in center based classrooms in the CPLC, ECD Program. Works as part of a center based multi-disciplinary team to provide education, health and social service support to children and families as needed and requested. Required Qualifications: An Associate’s degree in early childhood education (ECE) or related field, a Child Development Associates including a coursework with focus of infant/toddler development, plus 1 year of experience working with preschool-age children, are required. Demonstrated expertise in the development of infants and toddlers, teaching English Language Learners, Special Education or equivalent coursework from an accredited institution preferred.  Bilingual English/Spanish verbal and written proficiency required. Data entry experience is required; plus working knowledge of computer, MS Word, MS Excel, & MS.  CPR, and First Aide certified, must pass a criminal background check to include a Child Abuse and Neglect register check, which are provided by CPLC.
