• Each year CPLC De Colores Domestic Violence Shelter receives more than 3,000 calls from women seeking refuge from a violent and abusive situation at home.
• Every five minutes in Arizona, a law enforcement officer responds to a domestic violence call.
• Every 36-minutes, a police officer responds to a domestic violence incident where a child is present.

Since opening its doors in 1986, CPLC De Colores has assisted over 10,000 women and children to recover from abuse and begin to build a healthy future. CPLC De Colores specializes in serving the monolingual Spanish-speaking population, many of whom are isolated from their families and traditional networks of support. The families that arrive at the shelter usually come with only the clothes on their backs.
